Why doesn't he get JAS organic certification?

 To get Organic JAS standard, basically no pesticide and chemical fertilizer, 
 but exceptionally, admitting the use of certain pesticides.  
 To get JAS organic certification, a record of 3 years is required.  On one hand, 
 Mr. Yasutomi’s been cultivating rice for 45 years without using  pesticides and chemical 
 fertilizers without being forced to anyone and on his own will. It’s great effort. 
 Is there any reason why he has to get JAS organic standard now?  
 I think there is no mean. We can perform residual pesticide test if you wish.  
 In that case, we will charge actual expenses on you.

He received guidance from Mr. Kimura and has been practicing farming method without not only pesticides but also without organic 

& chemical fertilizer. 

Mr. Kimura is the only person who cultivated apples for the first time in the world without using any pesticide.

Mr. Yasutomi, who makes rice by Kimura farming method. 

His rice field is in the middle of mountain side and is surrounded three sides by the mountains.

The quality of water is good. 

There is no worry about pesticide scattering from other paddles around.

Why does he keep cultivate rice without pesticides and chemical fertilizers for 45 years on his willing?

We can know the reason from his knowing. He carries it.

Mr. Yasutomi’s rice field is surrounded 

three sides by the mountains.

And it can be drawn directly from 

upstream of the dam.

There is no village and other paddles 

upstream area.

No worries about contamination of dirty water and scattering pesticide from other paddles.

This isolated location is on advantage.

Since 2016, Kamiya farming method  is adopted. Kamiya farming method is the one without using pesticides and chemical fertilizers with the help of hyperthermophile. 

*1 It’s that grow better 90 degree or more. 

 The material made from hyperthemophile 

generates fever to 90 degree or more when 

they are fermenting.

Under 90 degree environment, bacteria can’t 

live and weed seeds can’t germinate.

With these materials improve condition of soil 

we get great soil contains rich nutrition and no need to weed without using pesticides and 

chemical fertilizers. *1.  hyperthermophile :an 

organism that thrives in extremely hot 

environments.

No milling rice, just remove the fir .

Nutritive value is in the best condition. 

We recommend to cook with pressure pot, 

earthen pot or electric rice cooker in 

“Brown rice mode”It absorbs water very 

slow. Soak it in water one night, if you want 

to eat in the morning. Steamed rice is pale 

brown. Please eat it chewing well. 

You often see it in the shop. 

It’s removed epidermis, bran from brown rice. We can mill brown rice on your favorite condition. In “5bu-tsuki”mode, 10% of the total weight will be decreased. 

You can’t get germ from white rice.

We get great soil contains rich nutrition and no need to weed without using pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

In other words, Kimura farming method and Kamiya farming method got married.

This is how to store the rice.

Because it does not use pesticides, it’s easy to generate insects, so please keep “Genki Mai” in refrigerator. 

To make it easy to stock, we prefer to divide into small

thick plastic bags.

1.Avoid from direct sunlight,  high-temperature

   &humidity.

   Keep it under 18 degree condition.

2. Keep the case or bag clean to prevent  the occurrence

       of insects.

3. Please consume early. 

       If you want to keep for a long time, 

      Stock it in refrigerator.
